Critical analysis of La Revue LEeE design

Abstract

This article presents the analysis of a peer review design proposed by La Revue LEeE, with a special focus on the roles and activities of reviewers. The first part of the article outlines criticisms from the research literature on double-blind peer review, and then presents new perspectives through open peer review using digital tools. The second part studies the open and collaborative review system (OCR) as proposed by La Revue LEeE. The characteristics that define this OCR are highlighted, and a critical analysis of the temporal and organisational structure of the system is proposed with regard more specifically to the targeted collaboration issues. The position of the journal's editorial board is to contribute to a paradigm shift that is beginning to emerge in the social sciences and humanities, through the conception of open peer review by exploiting the possibilities of digital technology. The article ends with the presentation of a questionnaire aimed at carrying out a follow-up with the authors and reviewers of the journal.
