trust, meaning, intervention researchAbstract
We reflect on the central role of trust in the deployment process of R&I (research-intervention). We see trust as a decisive factor in institutional performance (Thiébault, 2003), whose role is particularly mobilized in times of change, which IR intends to support contractually (Marcel and Bedin, 2018). With a comparison between two socio-cultural spheres, France and North America, we highlight the importance of locating and evaluating trust as a process and founding parameter of any participatory research.
